Clothing
It is requested that all children bring a complete extra set of clothing in case of spills. All clothing needs to be clearly marked with your child’s name. Shelby University cannot be responsible for unmarked clothing. Children should be dressed for play. Recommended are washable, comfortable clothes that are easy to move around in. Tennis shoes or other soft-soled shoes are safest. Sandals with socks are acceptable. Hard- heeled shoes and boots (cowboy boots, dress shoes, etc.) and flip-flops are not allowed.
Personal Belongings
The toys and educational materials at Shelby University are shared by all children. There is plenty of equipment to be shared. We ask that children do not bring personal possessions to the center.

The center cannot be responsible for any possessions a child may bring from home and misplace. Children are encouraged to leave toys, food, money, gum, and candy at home. Please help your child understand why it is important to leave these at home.

It is acceptable to bring a special blanket, soft toy, or stuffed animal for rest time. Please label these items with your child’s name.

Lost and Found
If your child is missing anything, please inquire at the center as soon as possible. It is much easier to return a lost item if it is labeled with the child’s name.
